Most people prefer policies that are concise and easy to understand. However, the law requires us to provide detailed information. Huayu products and services are provided by Huayu and/or its third-party partners. As a result, we may collect, process, or access your personal data in the country or region where you use the products or services, or in other countries or regions where we, our affiliates, service providers, or business partners are located. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") applies when you purchase and/or use the following products or services:
•Huayu website (uniformation3d.com);
•Huayu 3D printers and their consumables, accessories, and related services ("Huayu Devices");
•Huayu applications (e.g., UniFormation) and their cloud-related services ("Huayu Apps");
•Other customer support services provided by Huayu and/or its partners, including but not limited to customer support services ("Huayu Services").
In this Policy, the above products and services are collectively referred to as "Huayu Products and Services." We may from time to time develop new or provide additional services or products. These new products and services will also be subject to this Policy unless otherwise stated at the time of launch.
Please note that this Policy is a legally binding agreement between you and Huayu. By using Huayu Products and Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Policy, you must not use Huayu Products and Services.

Personal data refers to any type of information recorded electronically or otherwise that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person, excluding anonymized information. When you use Huayu Products and Services or interact with us, we may collect your personal data. Depending on the services you use and your interactions with us, different types of data will be collected. In some cases, you may choose not to provide such data, but this may prevent us from providing you with the corresponding products or services, or we may not be able to respond to or resolve the issues you raise.
For clarity, when providing you with Huayu Products and Services, we may also collect your personal data for statistical purposes, such as website visits, app downloads, and product sales, to understand the usage of our products and services. The aforementioned statistical results do not constitute personal data.
We will only collect and process your personal data through your purchase and/or use of Huayu Products and Services for the purposes described in Section 3 and this Policy. Below are some examples of personal data we may collect:
Personal Data You Provide to Us:
•Account Information: When you create a UniFormation account ("Huayu Account"), we collect the personal data required to create the account and enable you to use Huayu Products and Services. This may include your email address, password, profile photo, profile name, user ID, user login token, bio, and other information used for account verification and use.
•Contact Information: When you purchase or request products or services from Huayu, we collect the personal data necessary to process your order. This may include your name, email address, order information, phone number, physical address, postal code, country/region, and other necessary contact information. We may process your physical address to send you notifications when required by law or to deliver physical goods you have purchased or requested.
•Payment Information: When you pay for our products or services, we need to process your payment data. The personal data collected and used will vary depending on the payment method. This may include your name, phone number, bank details, payment method type (credit or debit card); if you use a debit or credit card, this includes the card type, expiration date, and certain digits of the card number (note: for security reasons, we never collect or store your full card number); your payment history; or other payment-related information.
•Transaction Information: When you purchase or request products or services from Huayu, we may also need to collect your purchase records or transaction information facilitated by us, including but not limited to your purchase history.
•Personal Data We Collect When You Use Huayu Products and Services:
When you use Huayu Products and Services, we will collect your device information and information about your and your device’s interactions with our products and services. Such information may include:
•Device Information: This may include your device name/model, device serial number, and/or other identifiers that can identify your device, device activation time, device operating system, hardware model/version, network connection, crash data, and user settings (e.g., region and language).
•Application Information: This may include app version, software identifier, app operation logs, and app settings (e.g., region and language).
•Usage Information: This may include your internet or network activity data, such as interactions with products and services, IP address; print operation data (e.g., printer control information and printer operation information); performance data and diagnostic data; and other usage data.
•Print Information: This may include G-code data and configuration information forwarded to the 3D printer to successfully print and display 3D model print information, print settings, model images, board thumbnails for each print task ("Print Files"), and other print task-related information we may store when you enable the print history reprint function, including start time, end time, material consumption, and other related information (collectively referred to as "Other Print Information"). You may choose to enable the privacy print function on UniFormation, in which case we will no longer store related print information. (Learn more)
•Printer Camera Information: This may include video captured by the chamber camera inside the printer. When you initiate a customer support service request, we may collect certain printer camera information when necessary and with your consent. We only collect printer camera information when you voluntarily provide it, such as when you voluntarily agree to join the user experience improvement program for our GK series 3D printers. This data will only be used for permitted purposes and will not be used for any other purposes or shared with any third party without your consent. For clarity, when you use real-time viewing and/or remote video-related functions through the built-in or external camera of our devices, we only provide transmission channel services and do not collect or store any copies of camera video.
•3D Model Files: This may include your 3D model files (3D mesh or CAD files), model descriptions, model images, document files, licenses, model print settings, and/or other 3D model-related information.
•Fraud and Abuse Prevention Information: We need to collect personal data for verification purposes to prevent fraud and abuse, including device trust data and complaint records.
•Personal Data We May Receive from Third-Party Sources:
•Third-Party Account Information: When you register or log in to Huayu’s online services using an existing Apple or Google account, we will collect your information from the relevant third-party service provider to create your account. The service providers involved include Apple Inc. and Google Ireland Ltd.
•Google Analytics Statistics: We receive Google Analytics statistics from Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Ltd. ("Google"). We have modified the configuration of Google Analytics to only measure functionality unless further advertising features have been separately consented to. Google Analytics uses a specific form of cookie stored on your computer that enables analysis of your use of our website.
•Other Information We Receive from Third-Party Sources Providing Relevant Services or Support.

•Compliance with Applicable Local Laws/Regulations
•Legal Basis: The legal basis for processing personal data is necessary to comply with legal obligations and to protect the legitimate interests of customers or the business.
•Categories and Purposes: We may need to take certain actions as required by applicable laws and regulations, such as fulfilling e-commerce online management obligations, taking appropriate actions on reports of intellectual property infringement and inappropriate content, and establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims. Some of these rights apply universally, while others apply only in specific circumstances. Depending on the circumstances, these rights may be subject to certain limitations. We are responsible for responding to your requests within the relevant timeframes prescribed by law.

•Right: You can request that we restrict the processing of your personal data in the following circumstances:
•You are contesting the accuracy of the information;

•We no longer need your information for a specific purpose, but the data subject needs it to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; or

Right: You can object to our processing of your personal data in certain circumstances. This right applies when we perform tasks in the public interest, pursue our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party, or when you object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.

•Right to Data Portability (Article 20 of the GDPR)
•Right: You can request a copy of your personal data in electronic format and have the right to transfer such personal data to another service provider when we process your personal data based on consent or the performance of a contract. Huayu will make every effort to respond to your request.

•Right Not to Be Subject to Automated Decision-Making (Article 22 of the GDPR)
•Right: You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing (including profiling) that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
•How to Exercise: Huayu currently does not engage in such automated decision-making when providing Huayu Products and Services.
•Right to Withdraw Consent (Article 7 of the GDPR)
•Right: You have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data. When Huayu processes your personal data based on consent, you can exercise your right to withdraw consent.

•Right to Lodge a Complaint (Article 77 of the GDPR)
•Right: You can contact the European Data Protection Board ("EDPB") or your local data protection authority to raise any questions or concerns about your personal data.

When you wish to exercise the above rights, we kindly ask you to:
•Submit your request through the channels provided above.
•Provide sufficient information for us to verify your identity (to ensure that the request is made by the data subject or their authorized representative).
•Ensure that the request is specific and feasible.
•We will make every effort to respond to requests for access to personal data within one month of receipt. Depending on the number and complexity of requests, this period may be extended. If an extension is required, we will notify you of the situation and explain the reason for the delay. If there is any conflict between this section and local laws/regulations, the latter shall prevail.
After submitting a request, we will review your request and decide whether to accept it.
We may reject your request in the following circumstances:
•Applicable laws do not grant the data subject the relevant rights;
•The identity of the requester cannot be verified;
•The request cannot be verified or is out of scope, especially when the request is sent repeatedly;

If none of the above circumstances apply, we will respect the request. To increase the likelihood of your request being accepted, please provide as much detail as possible when submitting the request, such as the type of request, specific content, the data subject’s information (e.g., the account name you use for Huayu Products and Services), and the time range during which the information was generated or processed.
Generally, we will not provide the following information:
•Information About Others: A data subject’s request may involve individuals other than the data subject. Unless authorized by the relevant individual, we will not provide such information.
•Repeated Requests: If a data subject repeatedly submits the same or similar requests related to one data subject, and the requested information has not changed since we last provided such information, in most cases, we will not repeatedly provide copies of such information. Additionally, we are not obligated to provide information that is already publicly available.
•Special Information: We will not disclose any special information in response to requests for access to personal data. In this Policy, special information refers to any confidential information of Huayu (e.g., attorney-client communications) and information that actually constitutes legal opinions (whether related to the litigation itself or information derived from litigation proceedings).
This section lists the entities that receive personal data collected or generated through your use of Huayu Products and Services from Huayu.
Public Information
The following personal data will always be publicly available on the UniFormation app platform (except to any users you have blocked):
•Your profile name;
•Your profile photo.
To ensure a smooth user experience, Huayu Products and Services may contain links to third-party websites, products, and services. We have no control over third-party websites, products, and services, but you can choose whether to access these links or share personal data on third-party platforms. Huayu also has no control over the privacy or data protection policies of third parties, as these third parties are not bound by this Policy. Before sharing or submitting personal data to third parties, please read and refer to their privacy or data protection policies.
Personal Data We May Share
To provide you with Huayu Products and Services and achieve the purposes described in Section 3 (How We Use Your Personal Data), we may from time to time share your personal data with other Huayu affiliates and third-party service providers. This may include:
•Huayu Affiliates: We may share your personal data with our affiliates or authorize them to access your personal data to provide you with Huayu Products and Services or to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations. For example, some systems that provide Huayu Products and Services are operated by our affiliates; some of our affiliates also provide support or maintenance services for our products and services.
•Huayu Partner Program: Under the Huayu Partner Program, we allow distributors ("Huayu Partners") to sell our products through their online or offline channels.
When you order our products through a Huayu Partner, the products are usually delivered by the relevant Huayu Partner. To fulfill the transaction between you and the Huayu Partner, the Huayu Partner will process your personal data as a data controller. For more information on how Huayu Partners will process your personal data, please refer to the privacy policies of these Huayu Partners. You can usually find their privacy policies on their website homepages. Huayu is not responsible for the personal data processing activities conducted by the aforementioned Huayu Partners.
Nevertheless, when you purchase our products through the online or offline channels of Huayu Partners, Huayu remains the data controller for certain personal data, including but not limited to account information, device information, app information, or usage information, to achieve the purposes described in Section 3 (How We Use Your Personal Data).
When you request customer support services from a Huayu Partner, we may share the personal data we collect from you with the Huayu Partner to respond to your request. For such personal data, Huayu, as the data controller, will ensure that the Huayu Partner processes the data only in accordance with Huayu’s instructions.
•Service Providers or Partners: We engage service providers or partners to manage or support certain aspects of our business operations or Huayu Products and Services on our behalf. These service providers or partners may be located in the United States or other countries/regions and may provide payment services, customer support, order fulfillment, product delivery, advertising and marketing activities, personalized services, technical services, data hosting, or customer satisfaction surveys. If the aforementioned technical service providers or partners process your data outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"), this means your data may be transferred to countries/regions with data protection standards lower than those of the EU. Huayu will take all reasonable measures to ensure that such personal data receives an equivalent level of data protection.
•Other Conditions Required by Applicable Laws
Huayu may disclose your personal information without further consent when permitted or required by applicable laws or regulations.
We retain your personal data only for the period necessary to provide you with Huayu Products and Services and to achieve Huayu’s legitimate and necessary business purposes, such as making data-driven business decisions about new features and products, fulfilling our legal obligations, or resolving disputes.
Below, we provide some categories of retention periods:
•Data Retained Until You Delete It: You have the right to request that we delete certain personal data about you. For more information, please refer to the "Right to Erasure" section in Chapter 4 (Your Privacy Rights).
•Data Expires After a Specific Period: We have set certain retention periods so that some data expires or is deleted after a specific period.
•Data Retained Until Your Huayu Account Is Deleted: We retain some data until your UniFormation account is deleted. When your UniFormation account is deleted, your data will be deleted or anonymized.
•Data Retained for Longer Periods for Limited Purposes: After your account is deleted, we may retain some data for a longer period for very limited purposes, such as fulfilling legal obligations.
Due to the global nature of our business, Huayu shares personal data internationally with Huayu affiliates, subcontractors, and partners when performing the data processing activities described in this Policy.
Whenever we transfer personal data internationally, we ensure that the data transfer complies with applicable laws. We also ensure that when transferring your information to countries/regions outside the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, the personal data benefits from an adequate level of data protection through the following means:
•Adequacy Decisions: This applies when we transfer personal data to countries/regions outside the European Economic Area ("EEA") that have adequate laws for protecting personal data, as determined by the European Commission under Article 45 of the GDPR (or equivalent decisions under other laws).
•Standard Contractual Clauses ("SCCs"): The European Commission has approved contractual clauses under Article 46 of the GDPR that allow companies within the EEA to transfer data to countries/regions without an adequacy decision. These clauses (and their approved equivalents for the UK and Switzerland) are called SCCs. We are committed to protecting users’ personal data. We make every effort to use certain physical, organizational, and technical security measures designed to enhance the integrity and security of the personal data we collect and maintain. We use encryption technologies to ensure the confidentiality of data transmission and storage and implement reliable protection mechanisms to prevent data from being attacked. We deploy access control mechanisms to prevent unauthorized access to your personal data. Additionally, we limit the number of authorized personnel based on service needs and personnel levels and implement hierarchical permission management. Authorized personnel will regularly record and review access to personal data. However, please note that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no system is completely secure. If others can access your UniFormation account, they may access your personal data, controls, and services available in the account. For example, you may allow others to use your account on a shared device. You are responsible for allowing others to use your account only if you are willing to share your personal data with them. Others using your UniFormation account may affect your personalized settings and be included in your data records. To protect your user account and privacy, we encourage you to:

•Limit access to your own computer and browser; and
•Log out after each use of Huayu Products and Services in shared or public environments.
Huayu Products and Services are not intended for children under the age of 16 or below the age specified by the laws of your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal data from these children.
If you are under the age of 16 or the age specified by the laws of your jurisdiction, please do not provide us with any personal data. If we discover that we have collected personal data from children below the age limit, we will delete it immediately.
